Administrative Officer

Cindy Charlemagne

As the Office Administrator, Cindy provides administrative support to the Youth Economy Agency. She ensures that the daily office operations are performed in a seamless and efficient manner, manages office assets and inventory, and interacts with persons who visit the office of the YEA, ensuring that they are welcomed with a cheerful spirit. She has a special fondness for the youth. Cindy also serves as the Administrative Assistant to the CEO.

Her passion for developing young people, emanated from her involvement in youth and educational development programmes in her community, when she served as the President of the Youth Organization, for over ten years. She brings to the position a wealth of experience in the field of human resources as the former People & Culture Administrator. Prior to taking up the role of AO, she worked as the Youth Attaché to the Prime Minister of St. Lucia.

Where are you from? I am originally from the beautiful community of Rock Hall, in Castries.

What kind of music are you into? My favorite music is gospel, R&B, and country (NOT to be mistaken for country and western!)

Who do you admire most and why? I admire my mother the most, because she is a phenomenal woman. Only a phenomenal woman would raise her children as a single parent while exerting strength and courage. I admire her because of her unconditional love for us and her grandchildren. I appreciate her because she has helped me grow into the person that I am today.

What gets you going every day? I am grateful to the Almighty for giving me the strength to live life one day at a time. The privilege of getting up from my bed, getting dressed and knowing that I am going to a job that allows me to make young people’s lives better, is a hugely motivating for me.

What would you say is the best thing about your job? The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia created the Youth Economy as part of his vision. This vision would offer young persons an opportunity to reach their entrepreneurial goals and aspirations by turning their hobbies into skills and skills into business. I am delighted to be part of a fantastic team of YEA employees who carry that vision through.
